The Autumn Book TAG

Hello everyone,
today I'm here with another tag. I thought it would be really fun to do in order to celebrate my favourite season. I searched the internet for some autumn book tags and found this one on The Quirky Book Nerd blog. Although I changed some of the questions a little bit, the core of the tag remains the same. If you want to answer these questions too, by all means consider yourself tagged by me. But don't forget to leave the link to your blog post in the comment section, so I can read your answers. But without further ado, let's just take a moment to gush about the awesomeness of the upcoming season...

1. What is your favourite thing about autumn?
Absolutely everything. I love the sense of freshness that always floods my system after the unbeareble heat of summer. The air is clean and crisp. My body feels lighter and my mind is keen. I can finally dive into all of my favourite passtimes, such as baking and drawing, reading and watching movies. Basically doing everything that involves being at home where I am most comfortable at. I love the atmosphere of this season and the hope that it brings me. It inspires me to create and be happy...

2. What book reminds you of your school days?
I have to go with the obvious answer for this one. The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyrer will always be the most reminiscent of my school years. These were the books I remember bringing with me to school every day because I just couldn't bear to be separated from the story for the whole day. I never experienced that wih any other book before. I am actually re-reading the series at the moment, and it brings back so much memories of my student self, I can't even deal. In between the lines of the books, I can hear all the the thought that myformer self had been thinking during reading, and I am surprised how much I've changed but also how much I'm still the same person. Books can be a passage to new worlds but also to one's own self...

3. What cover reminds you of autumn?
There's something incredibly autumnal about my copy of The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly with the delicate pattern of leaves and thorns and the picture of a boy reading a book. The deep green coulor of the cover and even its texture just screams autumn to me. It's also a book that I would love to read this autumn. I've heard nothing but amazing things about it...

4. What is your favourite horror or Halloween story?
My new favourite series Lockwood & Co. by Jonathan Stroud is the best ghost story ever. I love it to the moon and back. I can't seem to be able to shut up about it for a minute, but I am not going to apologize for it. It's absolutely amazing. It's actually going to be adapted for Netflix, which I am equally excited and nervous about. But I am hopeful that it will bring more recognition to this series, because it deserves all the world to know about it...
I also have to mention my favourite horror graphic novel series Locke & Key by Joe Hill and illustrated by Gabriel Rodriguez, which is perfect for this time of year. The art is breathtaking and the story arc excellent. It's already been adapted for Netflix, so you can binge watch it after you'll have read it...

5. What is your favourite movie to watch during this season?
It's so hard to pick. I have so my favourites that I go back to all the time. But my absolute favourite that I have to watch every single year (sometimes multiple times, actually) is What If? (also known as The F Word) with Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan. I can't put into simple words how much I love this movie. I've watched it a million times and it still brings me all the fuzzy feelings. I adore the humor in it and the poignant dialogues between the characters. I adore the characters themselves and the story they tell. It's just perfect. And while it might not be an explicitly autumn movie, there's something about the atmosphere of the film that makes it so in my eyes. Anyway, this movie is pure comfort and I cannot imagine my life without it...

6. What is your most awaited autumn book release?
Ah, that would be the MinaLima edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J. K. Rowling. I own a MinaLima edition of The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett and it's absolutely stunning, so I cannot wait to see their adaptation of Harry Potter. I am also really excited for How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories by Holly Black. I love The Folk of the Air series of hers and Prince Cardan fascinates me. I am eager to read more about him. Plus the cover of this book is adorable...

7. What movie are you excited to go to watch in a cinema this autumn?
I'm really looking forward to the new adaptation od Rebecca based on the novel by Daphne du Maurier, but I'd like to re-read the book before I watch the movie. Also, the Disney's Mullan looks really beautiful and I'm excited to watch it. And then the new movie with Robert Pattinson, Tenet.

8. Name some books that you're planning on reading in the upcoming months.
I have big plans for this season. I haven't been able to read much during the summer months so I'm hoping to catch up on some books in autumn. Although I have already acheived my goal of reading 60 books on Goodreads, I still want to read as much as I can before the end of the year. I'm planning on finishing Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan. I have read the first book already but then the Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer arrived and I had to delve right into it. So I want to get back to the series after I'll have finished re-reading the Twilight Saga. I would also love to read The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater, which has been on my TBR list for ever. And then the Modern Faerie Tales as well as The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black...
