Penguin Christmas Classics

It surely is not a secret that I am a complete Christmas nut. I love everything about the season and I usually post about it quite a lot every year on my blog. This year is no exception. Today I would like to write a little about a collection of Christmas themed classics published by Penguin. Reading of Christmassy books in December is one of the most important and also extremely helpful traditions for me. Because as much as I love Christmas, I know very well how stressfull all the preparations for the holidays can be. In the middle of the process, I can manage quite easily to forget what's it all about and end up overwhelmed and frustrated. Books about Christmas help me to stay inspired and motivated to do all the housekeeping, decorating and baking, but most importantly they remind me to have fun with it all. Believe me, there's nothing that can put you into proper Christmas spirit quite as readily as a good book. Penguin had come out with a collection of six classics about Christmas that are beautifully decorated with little pictures of birds and twigs on the covers and contain inside illustrations as well. Their elementary red spines look great when lined up together on the shelf, therefore they can be also used as part of the house Christmas decorating. The collection includes stories that are inherent part of every Christmas and without any doubt are worth re-reading every year...

The collection includes following titles:
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
Christmas at Thompson Hall: And Other Christmas Stories
by Anthony Trollope
The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus
by L. Frank Baum
A Merry Christmas: And Other Christmas Stories
by Louisa May Alcott
The Night Before Christmas by Nikolai Gogol
The Nutcracker by E. T. A. Hoffman

  1. Ty jsou naprosto dokonalé! Kvůli nim bych snad začala víc opěvovat Vánoce. Respektive ony by samy zářily a vyzařovaly vánoční atmosféru! :)
